What's the weirdest baby name you've ever heard (or considered)?
Charisma Carpenter has always struck me as odd. As are the curious old-fashioned names that come from other virtues: Capability, Prudence, Purity, Increase, Virginity, Faith, Merit, Charity.
It makes me wonder what names would come from more contemporary values: Tolerance, Green, Capital, Multi-tasker.

Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which is celebrating its 50th birthday this year) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. Book: Show us one of your favorite cookbooks.
Many of the recipes are complex, like the porcini lasagna, but it's worth investing the time to do them. Others, like the garlic soup, are breathtakingly simple. My signed copy of this cookbook is among the most worn and stained in my kitchen.
